Day 8 - Alacati

ALACATI

Wiki: "Alaçatı is an Aegean town on the western coast of İzmir Province in Turkey, which has been famous for itsarchitecturevineyards and windmills for over 150 years. It has now made its name in the world of windsurfing andkitesurfing, with its crystal clear water, consistent and steady wind and well acclaimed hospitality. Alacati is one of the most authentic towns in Turkey with stone houses, narrow streets, boutique hotels and restaurants with tables on the streets. Alacati has a great nightlife, where the nightclubs by the seaside are open until morning. "

Actually, the idea of visiting Alacati came from this article:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/turkey/10539331/Twenty-destinations-for-2014-Alacat-Turkey.html

In summary, it is a beach town for the rich Turkish in the summer, with nice authentic old town and beautiful beaches. Sounds like a good place to chill out!!!

Our Place for 2 nights (booked via Airbnb)
The swimming pool is just too cold. =(

Our Breakfast by the pool.
Love it!!!

Quiet Town.
It is spring, which is not the peak season to visit Alacati.

AEGEAN SEA

Wiki: "The Aegean Sea (/ɨˈən/; Greek: Αιγαίο Πέλαγος [eˈʝeo ˈpelaɣos]; Turkish: Ege Denizi or Adalar Denizi[2]) is an elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea located between the Greek and Anatolian peninsulas, i.e., between the mainlands of Greece and Turkey. In the north, it is connected to the Marmara Sea and Black Sea by theDardanelles and Bosporus. The Aegean Islands are within the sea and some bound it on its southern periphery, including Crete and Rhodes.
The sea was traditionally known as Archipelago (in GreekΑρχιπέλαγος, meaning "chief sea"), but in English this word's meaning has changed to refer to the Aegean Islands and, generally, to any island group."

I have always wondered where is this place called "爱琴海" in Chinese. It is actually the Aegean Sea, such a nice name. The literal meaning is "Love & Music Sea".

Lovely!!!

So Beautiful!!!

It is irresistible, even though the water is very cold.
We went for a swim, and we had the place to ourselves!

I only swam for 5 mins and needed to get out of the water,
as I felt my balls literally been squeezed by the coldness.

Well, my friends did much better, they stayed in the water for 30mins.

Everyone is having a good time!!

ALACATI OLD TOWN

Really love this old town, just a pleasant experience just stroll leisurely in this place.

Nice.

Slow down and Chill

Very Greek.... White and Blue.

Cobbled Street

Enjoying ourselves. =)

Running around
Felt like a child.

Found a street-food treasure - Mussel Stuffed with Rice!!

Beautiful!!!

Went to enjoy our bags of Mussels at another beach.
=)

This is how our day ended - brain stimulation.
